ProPro wird 2019 zum dritten Mal in Wien stattfinden – und wird international! Durch Kooperationen mit europäischen Förderinstitutionen wird sich eine Gruppe internationaler und österreichischer Produzentinnen gemeinsam mit Branchen-Expertinnen mit Karriereplanung, Erfolgsstrategien, Leadership-Skills und der Weiterentwicklung ihrer Filmprojekte bzw. Firmenstrategien beschäftigen.
Am 8. Juni präsentieren die ProPro-Initiatorinnen Ursula Wolschlager, Esther Krausz und Iris Zappe-Heller (Gender- und Diversityangelegenheiten Österreichisches Filminstitut) die Zukunftspläne des Weiterbildungs- und Vernetzungsprogrammes für Produzentinnen.
Die renommierte Produzentin Paula Vaccaro (Pinball, UK) hält eine Keynote zum Inclusion Rider. Bekannt wurde diese Initiative durch die Oscar-Rede von Frances McDormand. In einer Case Study wird die norwegische Produzentin Marianne Furevold die Serie SKAM vorstellen, die von Teenagern und ihrem Alltag erzählt, im Social Web, im Netz und im Fernsehen.
Neben einem maßgeschneiderten Workshop für die Alumnae der ersten beiden ProPro-Programme 2015 und 2017 gibt es ab 16.30 ein öffentliches Programm:

An initiative by USC Annenberg professor Stacy L. Smith made famous on Oscar night by Frances McDormand. A set of tools and process to solve our movie business gender and race inequality problem aimed at engaging actors, funders and creators.

Skam (English: Shame) is a Norwegian teen drama web series about the daily life of teenagers. It was produced by NRK P3, which is part of the Norwegian government-owned NRK.Despite no promotion ahead of its 2015 launch, Skam broke viewership records. The show repeatedly made international headlines for its popularity surge across the world, and the show’s actors became famous worldwide. Skam received critical acclaim and significant recognition for its portrayal of sexual abuse in the second season and homosexuality in the third. The series was also praised for its contributions to promote Norwegian language and culture internationally, as well as for its unique distribution format, adopting a new strategy of real-time, high-engagement, snippet-based distribution rather than rigidity and television schedules.
